Sometimes you may receive a “Follow Up” on an inspection. There are several possible reasons for Follow Ups: you may have incomplete information, omitted information, mislabeled photos, inspected the wrong property, etc. Official Follow-Up Chargeback Policy.
Here are the most common reasons for Follow Ups:
- #1 Missing Vacancy Certification
- Missing Neighborhood (Street View) photos
- Missing photo of the letter left at the door
- Missing photo of the AC unit on vacant properties
- Blurry photos
- Wrong property inspected
- Missing street sign photo
- No comments about changes in occupancy from vacant/occupied or occupied/vacant
- No comments written about any City Violation Postings or your photo is too far away
- Missing photo of sign-in sheet for interior inspections
- Missing photo of FTV/Vacancy posting
- Wrong FTV/Vacancy posting or not removing the wrong posting previously posted
- Photos not labeled
- Missing address photo
- Missing close up photo of key-code in the door lock with the door open
- Checking “Follow Up Completed” when you didn’t do anything to correct the problem
Having to return to a property decreases any profits you could have made. Remember, you are responsible for submitting correct and complete results for every inspection assigned to you. By accepting each inspection you have declared that you are able to complete it with quality and professionalism. Everyone received a Follow Up at one time or the other, so don’t panic, just follow the notes the Account Manager (or quality control department) gives and complete the Follow Up immediately. From personal experience, not reading the instructions is one of the biggest reasons a Follow Up is created.
Once you have corrected the Follow Up, it is a requirement that you document the changes within the inspection in InspectorADE. Then, resubmit the inspection. Resubmitting changes the inspection to “Follow Up Completed” status. Please do not resubmit an inspection without correcting the issue! The Account Managers review the Follow Up before Approving it.
Required: After completing a Follow Up, go to the Info/Comments tab and write what you did to correct the problem.
