For years, our network of over 550 inspectors across 42 states has been a significant source of pride. Now, to secure even more opportunities for all of us, we’ve listened closely to our clients. Their message is clear and incredibly encouraging: clients value NMFS and are ready to send us more work—provided we can ensure maximum reliability and a 90% on-time turnaround rate.
Many of you are already hitting this 90% goal, delivering outstanding service that keeps our clients confident! However, inconsistent performance in certain areas has unfortunately affected our overall reputation, resulting in reduced inspection volume across the board, even in our strongest regions. This is why our inspectors, who maintain a 90% or better turnaround time, are always paid first. It’s just business.

Focusing on What Works Best
We’ve channeled this feedback into a new, positive strategy designed to boost your inspection volume and reward consistent excellence. We’ve identified key states and counties where NMFS and our inspectors consistently deliver the fastest, most reliable service.
We are thrilled to launch our new Service Area List, which highlights:

🏆 Our Top-Performing Counties: These areas have a proven 90% or better on-time turnaround rate.

✅ Additional Covered Counties: These areas have strong coverage, and we are working to elevate their performance.
Clients will naturally direct the most work to the areas that demonstrate the highest reliability. This means more inspection opportunities for those who consistently deliver quick, dependable results!
Your Role in Our Shared Success
This transition is all about building a stronger, more reliable NMFS that delivers exactly what our clients want. By focusing on timely, dependable results, we will unlock significant growth.
Here’s how you can make the most of this positive shift:

Track Your Success: Keep a close eye on your Turnaround Time—it’s visible the moment you log into your InspectorADE account.

Secure More Opportunities: Check our new service areas list on NMFS.com (in the menu, click “Service Areas”) to see where your county stands.

If your county is on the 90% list and you are meeting or exceeding the 90% turnaround time, great job! You are positioned to receive the highest volume of work.

If your county is on the 90% list but your performance is lagging, your assigned zip codes will temporarily focus on your residence to allow you to concentrate on improving your turnaround time. Hitting that 90% mark is your direct path to more volume!

If your county is not on the 90% list, but you are consistently hitting 90% or better, please notify Lori immediately! We want to celebrate your success and add your county to the elite list, which will rapidly increase your potential workload.

Remember: Consistent performance below an 80% turnaround time affects all of us, and we may have to discontinue services in those areas. Your timely submission directly impacts the prosperity of our entire network!
Your turnaround time is adjusted as follows: if you receive the inspection after it is already past due, according to the contract, you have 3 days to submit it. Once submitted, we will update the turnaround time to reflect that the inspection was completed on time and within 3 days, which will change your turnaround time.
STOP providing ECDs further out than 3 days or the due date. Our clients will not accept ECDs 5 days past when we received it.
