Additional Companies to Work For…

The list below are NMFS clients. As a contractor, based on the Contractor Agreement, you violate the agreement as it concerns the No-Compete clause you signed. Do not go after our clients. However, if you are interested in Property Preservation, you are free to contact our clients because we are not in that part of our industry. You can contact one of our Networking Partners for their application; we encourage it.

Our existing clients are:

  1. MCS
  2. Aremco
  3. Edgemark
  4. Cyprexx
  5. Brookstone
  6. ServiceLink
  7. First Allegiance
  8. NFR
  9. Owens Ins
  10. Reliance
  11. Single Source
  12. Solid Foundation
  13. Guardian
  14. Genstone
  15. Owens Insurance
  16. Northsight
  17. Direct Connect(Network Partner)
  18. 61 Inspections(Network Partner)
  19. Favored Panel(Network Partner)
  20. Hale Inspections(Network Partner)

*Note: When you work for other companies, you may find that they, too, work for some of our existing clients. There are no conflicts of interest if you encounter this. Have at it and good for you. We are not the only company that our clients hire.

Other Companies you might try that NMFS is not currently under contract:
(We call you “inspectors”. Other companies may refer to you as a “vendor”.)

You can also search for other companies who conduct inspections in your area and contact them.

Do not discount Craigslist and other job boards like Indeed to search for Property Inspector jobs in your area.

  • Job ads that you see which show an hourly rate, don’t really pay an hourly rate. Most job boards are geared for employment, not contractors who work and are paid per inspection. So keep that in mind. It’s not the fault of the company that ran the job ad. It’s just the way the job software is written. Although completing 5 or 6  $5 inspections an hour would be $25 hour, it all depends on your volume and where the inspections are located. (Or how many naps you take in between each inspection.)

Some companies you work for may require proof of E&O and General Liability insurance. If you cannot afford that, find other companies to work for.

*Note: While conducting inspections for NMFS you are covered under our E&O insurance for inspections that we assign to you.

If you desire to pay for your own E&O insurance, allow me to suggest York-Jersey.

Homeowner Insurance Inspections

When a homeowner applies for a new homeowners insurance policy, the insurance company will hire a company to go out and take photos to determine if they want to insure the property. We do those as a company for Owens Insurance Company. Insurance field inspections usually give you a longer time to complete inspections and can easily be added to anything else you are doing. These types of inspections are nearly the same as what we do for mortgage inspections, just taking photos. Common sense says that these type of inspections are a bit seasonal.  When do people buy houses? In the Spring and Summer, when the kids get out of school. So there are slow times and super busy times with these types of inspections.
Some of the companies I am familiar with on there are:

Millennium
Insurance Risk Services
Mueller Reports
Afirm
JMI
CSI Group

Crowd Sourcing Companies

Here’s a fantastic opportunity to start earning money today! You’re likely familiar with services like DoorDash, Uber, and Lyft, which operate on a “Crowd Source” model. These platforms don’t assign you tasks; instead, you choose which jobs to accept through their apps. Personally, I believe that if someone wants food delivered or a ride, they can find their own way—I’m not offering my car for that!

However, provide me with an address for places like CVS, Dollar General, Murphy Oil, Walgreens, or other commercial properties. I’ll gladly take photos of their landscaping to ensure everything looks pristine, from neatly cut grass to well-trimmed bushes. The pay for these tasks can be $7 or more, and you can receive your earnings in your PayPal account the very next day. How great is that? It’s a simple way to make extra cash.

I highly recommend exploring these programs. Some of our inspectors are raking in an additional $400 to $500 each week through these apps.
