Proper Attire

It is important that when representing our clients, and their clients, that we dress appropriately. As the photo shows above, big fluffy ball house slippers is NOT appropriate attire. Neither are jeans with holes in them. One of our clients once called me because the inspector conducted an occupancy inspection while wearing a fishing vest. The dress code for our industry is business casual.

Keep in mind that most homeowners have never met anyone from their mortgage company. Then we come around. What they see in us is how they view their mortgage company. We represent our clients and need to show that we know how to dress appropriately. This is business. dress in business casual.
What about vacant properties with tall weeds? Buy some rubber slipovers or a pair of weighters. I had both when I was out in the field. Plus they help keep the bugs off. I hate bugs.
