Using photos from a previous inspection, Google Maps, or any other resource other than taking the photos yourself on the correct date at the site, will result in a $500 Charge-Back fine and immediate termination.
InspectorADE includes software that draws a different-colored border around photos that lack the Exif data required by our clients. The colored border makes it easier for QC to detect an issue.

Some think they can use the app to take a photo of their monitor at home and use Google Maps to find the street sign photo they missed. Since the GPS photo will be different from the others, it will add a purple border to the photo to flag it. We’ve seen inspectors in the past who will put a door hanger envelope on their own door at home because they don’t want to drive all the way back to the property for the missing photo. Those fraudulent photos are the easiest to detect because IA adds a heavy black border around them.
Copying photos from previous inspections changes the border color to red.
There are many other border colors to show issues with the photos.
Those who take their own photos and do the job right do not have to worry about it.
