Good Afternoon Regional Partners,

We received feedback from several of our inspection partners regarding efforts to minimize contact with borrowers and/or occupants during the inspection process.  We understand your concerns and appreciate the proactive initiatives that allow for inspections to continue while adapting to CDC recommendations related to social distancing. 

Our clients have not yet made any decisions to suppress inspections or perform curbside only inspections at this time.  However, we do not want to put inspectors in a situation where they feel unsafe.  Therefore, inspectors may use their discretion in completing occupancy inspections from the curb in order to avoid contact with borrowers and/or occupants when necessary.  Please continue to make occupancy determinations by documenting the indicators visible at each property and continue posting properties that are determined to be vacant per the instructions provided.  Interior inspections will not be affected by this change.

Please also continue to schedule loss draft inspections as required.  If a borrower is unwilling to schedule an inspection due to coronavirus related concerns, please inform your assigned inspection coordinator as soon as possible so we can update our clients accordingly.
